The The Striving Muslim is not limited to brothers only but for sisters as well.
●Importance of conveying the message of Islam●
To convey the message of Islam is compulsory upon every muslim who has its knowledge and is able to convey it. It is not just the duty of scholars, preachers and missionaries but every muslim should be a da’ee and convey the message under his /her ability as mentioned in below hadith,
Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr: The Prophet said, “Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence”
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 56, Number 667
We should “strive to be the good muslims” with the intention of pleasing our lord(Rabb)
O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of nearness] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed.
(Surah al-Maa’ida 5:35)
And He says in this chapter that advise others to truth and patience;
“By time. All mankind is in loss, except those who believe and do righteous deeds and advise each other to truth and advise each other to patience”
So convey even if you know only a verse. Whether a person is a student, a business person, a employee, a housewife or a retired old person, whether he/she is poor or rich, whether healthy or weak as much as he/she knows and as much as is in his/her strength which he/she can convey then the person must convey but in a most suitable and best manner as Allah(s.w.t) says
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.”
(Surah An Nahl 16:125)
The one who conveys something about Islam to someone gets equal reward of the one who follows him;
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever calls others to guidance will have a reward like the rewards of those who follow him, without that detracting from their reward in any way. And whoever calls others to misguidance will have a burden of sin like the burden of those who follow him, without that detracting from their burden in any way.” (Narrated by Muslim, 2674)
